🦩 DTF TRANSFER PRESSING INSTRUCTIONS

Our DTF transfers are easy to press at home or in your shop! For the best results, follow the instructions below.

🔥 Recommended Press Settings

Temperature: 280–300°F
Time: 10–15 seconds
Pressure: Medium to firm
Peel: Cool peel

💡 Pressing polyester? Reduce your temperature by approximately 10–20°F to help prevent scorching, dye migration, or press marks.

👕 How to Press Your Transfer

1. Pre-Press Your Garment

Place your garment on the heat press and pre-press for a few seconds. This helps remove moisture and wrinkles and gives you a smooth surface for your transfer.

2. Position Your Transfer

Place the transfer design side facing UP on your garment.

The white sticky/orange-peel textured side should be facing DOWN against the fabric.

Double-check your placement before pressing!

3. Press

Press at 280–300°F for 10–15 seconds using firm pressure.

4. Let It Cool

Our transfers are COOL PEEL.

After pressing, allow the transfer to cool for a bit. Once the film feels cool to the touch, slowly peel the carrier film away from the garment.

5. Re-Press

Cover the finished design with parchment paper, butcher paper, or a finishing sheet and press again.

This final press helps set the transfer into the garment and gives you the best finished result.

🧡 Having Trouble With Your Transfer?

Every heat press can run a little differently, so you may need to adjust your temperature, pressure, or pressing time slightly.

If the transfer begins lifting when you peel the film, STOP peeling. Lay the film back down and press again for a few additional seconds before allowing it to cool and trying again.

For best results, we recommend testing your press settings when working with a new garment or material.

🧺 Aftercare

For the longest-lasting print:

🩷 Wait at least 24 hours before washing
🩷 Wash garment inside out
🩷 Wash in cold water
🩷 Avoid bleach and harsh detergents
🩷 Hang dry whenever possible
🩷 If using a dryer, tumble dry on low heat
🩷 Do not iron directly over the design

⚠️ A Note About Heat Presses & Garments

Pressing results can vary depending on your heat press, garment material, pressure, and actual platen temperature. Always use the garment manufacturer's heat recommendations when working with heat-sensitive fabrics.

Polyester and other heat-sensitive materials should be pressed at a lower temperature. We recommend starting approximately 10–20°F lower and adjusting as needed.
